Biography
Dr. Vivek Sood is a double board certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in total joint replacement and foot and ankle.
Dr. Sood completed his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. He received his medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Brooklyn in 2000. During medical school, he received numerous honors, including The Joshua H. Weiner International Health Fellowship and an Alumni Association research grant.
He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at SUNY Brooklyn, where he served as chief resident. After residency, he received advanced training in adult joint reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. At Rush, he trained extensively in hip and knee revision surgery and also gained experience in performing minimally invasive hip and knee surgeries.
Dr. Sood then went to Mount Sinai Medical Center and received subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
